But over the last few decades, a considerable number of disabled people are coming up and showing their talent in various fields of life. Today we are going to discuss Subhreet Kaur Ghumman who is a one-legged dancer and gives inspiration to people on daily basis with her encouraging videos on social media platforms.
Recently, Subhreet posted a video on Facebook wherein she recreated her first television dance performance on Chikni Chameli after seven years. Check the video below.
For the unaware, Subhreet had participated in the reality show India’s Got Talent and even got qualifications for the second level. Although she lost her leg in an accident that didn’t stop her from pursuing her dreams. Hailing from Punjab, Kaur in 2009 got an accident while she was riding her scooter and lost her leg due to the doctor’s carelessness in treatment.
One day, Shubh, which is her nickname, saw Vinod Thakur on television dancing on one leg and thus, decided to take up dancing and became famously known as One Legged Dancer. Born in 1986, Shubh always had a passion for dance since her childhood. Her life’s motto is never to give up and nothing is impossible. Shubh considers her mother Smt. Charanjeet Kaur as her role model.
After getting praised in India’s Got Talent, she participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 8 and got a lot of appreciation from the judges. She currently keeps her followers and fans on social media with her new dance videos and updates that are quite motivational for people who are dance lovers and even common men who feel life is too difficult to live by in these difficult times.
