Weight gain during the coronavirus pandemic is quite natural and happens because emotionally vulnerable people are not used to such pandemic or turbulent times before. The reason I mentioned here emotionally vulnerable getting impacted by the pandemic on their health is that you will find many who are quite strong-minded and didn’t let the pandemic or its related stressors deter their determination to lead a normal life.

But people who are quite emotional and mentally weak were really moved by the consequences of the pandemic on their and other’s lives. This has left a huge impact on their physical or mental health making them not easier for them to function as usual. Some people started binge-eating or we can say emotionally eating and as the lockdown insisted on being at home, the physical activities outside the home like walking or hitting the gym were restricted.
For some, getting out of their bed and doing their normal routines was itself a huge task, which led to them having conflicted relationships with themselves and others. So, if you are someone who has gained weight in the last six months due to the second wave of coronavirus pandemic lockdown, then let me tell you that you don’t have to hit the gym or lose weight because you need that “validation” from others that you look slim and sizzling.

Your decision to lose weight should never be for others. It should be only and only for yourself wherein you think you don’t want to continue like this further with excess weight in your body and cut down on some activities that are hindering your progress in life. If you think you are healthy and having that extra pounds on your body is none of anyone’s business, then maintain that stand. Don’t be influenced by others’ views, just have your own view that looks at the growth and development of your life.
