Acceptance is key to any problem or challenge that we face in life. When a person doesn’t accept his or her reality and tries to live in denial, he will be doomed in the long run. With the ongoing pandemic crisis that has gripped our country, it is obvious that the first thing that has hit you hard is your LIFESTYLE.
You want to travel to your office or college, you want to party in a mall / club / theatre on your weekends and you want to spend time with people around you in parks / temples / markets but that is practically not happening due to the lockdowns imposed to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease. Your “wants” are being restricted by the government authorities because it is looking after your “needs” and that is “saving your life and of others” by ordering staying at home mandates.
In fact, you should feel lucky that you belong to this generation and have at least your basic needs like food, clothing, shelter getting fulfilled by accepting where you are and putting a limitation on your higher ambitions and goals. If you take a glance at the history, you will understand the sufferings of older generations who had to go through cyclones, war, earthquakes, and various different things and they really had no idea if they will even survive those things because there was not much technological advancement to give them time-to-time updates of the progress or even connect them to their loved ones.

Lifestyle can be changed but just think what will happen if you don’t follow a disciplined life to fight for your life? You have to make a choice between your life and lifestyle, which means you at least have an option to make in this generation whereas, people in olden times just had to follow things as they are told without questioning, criticizing much. So, let’s stop comparing our lives before coronavirus times and the current pandemic times and organize our lifestyle in such a way that puts a smile on everyone’s face around us.
