Mahatma Gandhi was known as Bapu or Father of the Nation because he fought against British rule using the non-violent path. He used non-violence, civil disobedience, and truth as powerful weapons to lead the independence movement of India against the more-than-a-century-old British rule.

2nd October 2023 marks the 154th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. So, how do you make Gandhiji proud on his birthday? Simply, walk on his path by reading his thoughts and quotes and implementing the same in your life.

Wondering how you can do that? Well, you don’t aim to become like him but taking inspiration from his ideals can go a long way in making him feel proud and happy from wherever he is seeing you as the citizen of India.

Gandhiji got the title of “Father of Nation” not just like that. His entire life was an example of how he fought so that the people of the country could live peacefully. He made immense sacrifices and followed a dharmic life to get inspired by.

Remember his quote: The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. When Gandhiji mentioned this quote, it may have been in a different context. But you can implement this quote in today’s context by lending a helping hand to others without any hidden intentions. For example, if you serve the elderly members of your family or serve the members of your society, you set a good example to people who are younger than you. They will look up to you for inspiring them to take action without any selfish motives.

Selfless acts and service attitude can really help a person to enhance their self-worth and live in an assertive manner. They can also get the blessings and good wishes of those who are needy and want your help.

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” is another quote that we are going to discuss here. Are you someone who feels dejected when someone hurts you badly? Well, we live in a fast-paced world and it is very difficult for anyone to live to keep compromising their wishes and desires for others. So, if you are hurt by the talks or words of your loved ones, don’t keep grudges.

You can simply ignore those negative thoughts and ill talks of the ones who are only jealous of your progress. You can move on in your life but only after forgiving them at least in your mind and forgetting the bad chapter instantly. This will allow you to experience new events in your life from a fresh perspective and not from a judgemental view.

Well, these are only two of his thoughts that you can implement in your life quickly. If you take any of his books offline or online, you will gain the real wisdom of leading a higher quality of life.
