A gift is a special thing for every person who gets it. Like, have you ever seen a person who has received a gift and not smiled or become happy? Well, there is no such being on this earth who doesn’t like to be appreciated for their contribution or role that they play. So, is a father as well. A father comes into our life as a role model, as a person with whom we can blindly trust and share our concerns and wishes, as a person who guides us on the right path even if he is wrong or learned life’s lessons the hard way. After all, no dad would like their children to follow bad examples, and thus, they are always there even if we fall or stumble in our lives.

As Father’s Day 2022 is nearing and is going to be celebrated this Sunday, the 19th of June, here is a list of things that you can purchase and gift him for his well-being.

1) Check if your dad has a health or medical insurance:

In today’s coronavirus times, when people are losing their lives at a very young age due to sudden hospitalizations or new sicknesses, it is always better to see if your father has medical or health insurance or not. Health insurance saves a lot of money and time to arrange finances during unexpected hospitalizations. When is the last time your dad did a complete health checkup? If your father has been neglecting his health, you can encourage him to even consult a good doctor and get the health records in place for your future reference.

2) Encourage him with healthy life practices:

Health is wealth and so is time precious than money. You can invest a few hours of a day in a week with your dad and ask him to take a walk with you to a nearby park or even to a friend’s home. He will resist in the initial stage but eventually seeing your encouragement and enthusiasm, he will come back with you to narrate his life’s precious gems and stories that will teach you a lot of things to do better in life.

3) Curate a list of songs and movies that will interest him:

If your dad is quite old and doesn’t venture out of your home due to several reasons, you can encourage him to keep himself engaged in spiritual activities at home and even consume family or motivational content that will keep him happy. Nowadays newspapers and media channels don’t really provide the right information to keep a positive mindset. Thus, it will be better if you gift him a musical list or movie list that he can watch in his leisure time and learn something good in life.

4) Keep him engrossed in your adventures:

More than a materialistic gift, all elderly parents need is their children’s time and company. How about narrating what is happening in your office or locality or personal life with him in the most humorous way? They will feel more delighted and energized when you ask them to contribute their thoughts to solve your life problems.
