Since the start of 2020, we are going through a lot of trauma due to the coronavirus pandemic. We are unable to focus our thoughts on anything good but every day we wake up in fear of contracting the virus. The lesson from this whole coronavirus thing is that you need to follow a healthy lifestyle and have good immunity to beat off not only this virus but any disease that can knock your life at a point in time in life.

Healthy lungs are quite important as it helps the body to operate well. Thus, in order to make your lungs stronger, you need to include good foods in your daily diet which are as follows:

1) Garlic has the properties which fight off toxins and carcinogens and thus, helps patients suffering from health issues like asthma, bronchitis, etc. 

2) Turmeric is a natural antiseptic that can improve the functioning of the lungs and thus, reduce the pain of the chest tightness and the airways that are related to asthma.

3) Ginger is an important item included in most food recipes because it can break down the mucus and even remove it from the body.

4) Walnut has omega 3 fatty acids, which are really helpful to reduce the inflammation of the lungs. One can eat consume a handful of walnuts on a daily basis to fight asthma and other breathing problems.

5) Water is the reason one is alive and water is one of the best ways to detoxify the body. At least 9 to 10 glasses of water are recommended daily to drink to stay hydrated and keep lungs healthy.

6) Citrus fruits like orange, lemon are all good to consume as they have a rich source of Vitamin C that increases immunity and gives you the power to fight respiratory infections.
