Nag Panchami festival is observed on 25 July 2020 all over India.
The festival marks the importance of worshipping snake Gods, who are called as Naga or Nag.
On this special day, people usually visit temples to pray to the snake god and offer milk.
However, as temples are closed due to coronavirus lockdown, you can worship the snake god at your respective homes with full dedication and devotion.
The auspicious happens on the fifth day of the lunar month of Shravan.
Women especially offer milk to the snake gods or Lord Shiva and pray for the good health and wealth of brothers and all family members.
Worshipping at least 12 serpent gods such as Ananta, Vasuki, Shesha, Padma, Kambala, Karkotaka, Ashvatara, Dhritarashtra, Shankhapala, Kaliya, Takshaka and Pingala on this day is said to be good for the devotees and their families.
