New Delhi: A bomb exploded in the busy Jauhar Town residential area of Lahore. According to the information received so far, two people have died in the blast while 14 have been injured. The intensity of the explosion can be estimated by looking at the footage. It has been reported that 30 kg of explosives were used in the blast.
On the other hand, according to the newspaper Dawn, it was not immediately known what caused the explosion. A member of the emergency rescue team said, ‘It is not yet decided whether it is an explosion in the gas pipeline or a cylinder. We have shifted four people to the hospital, the number of injured may increase further.
Police and Bomb Disposal Squad have reached the spot. The Deputy Commissioner of Police of the city has asked the concerned police officers to reach the spot. Emergency wards of all hospitals have also been asked to remain alert.
