InternationalAnother Meta incident: Instagram confirms the temporary outage

More than 7,000 Instagram accounts suffered the outage, as per the outage-tracking website Downdetector. The outage began on the 31st Oct night, locking users out and showing them “we suspended your account on October 31, 2022.”
Two outages within a week for Meta. Firstly, WhatsApp and now Instagram outages left users worried. An official statement by Meta confirmed that an outage happened last night and affected users across the globe where users were unable to use their accounts.
The most loved social media platform admitted to having faced an outage and issued a public apology to the users after the problem was mended.
In an official statement by Meta, Instagram Comms shared that the company has resolved the technical error now. The outage caused trouble for a lot of people in the world making it impossible for them to access their accounts.
This is the second in the same weeks’ time for Meta. Right on Tuesday WhatsApp, suffered a major downtime where the app did not respond for a couple of hours. The government even asked Meta to share a detailed report about the cause of the outage, which the company duly submitted.
Twitter was full of reactions from users of Instagram facing the outage and said they were completely shut out. Some reported that their number of followers dropped, presumably because those accounts were locked.
