American-Puerto Rican actor Joaquin Phoenix and American actress and animal rights activist Rooney Mara have become happy parents to a baby boy.
This is the first child of the beautiful couple and thus, they have named their son after Phoenix’s late elder brother, actor River Phoenix.
River Phoenix died at the age of 23 due to drug overdose in 1993.
Mara, 35, and Phoenix, 45 announced that their pregnancy of the first child in May 2020.
The couple had met during a film’s shooting in 2016 and since then they started seeing each other.
They confirmed their relationship status in 2017 by making a public appearance together on red carpet debut at the closing ceremony of Cannes Film Festival 2017.
They started living together got engaged in July 2019.
We wish the adorable couple all the best for a blissful parenthood journey ahead.
