Meanwhile, dexamethasone has been approved by the Union Health Ministry for the treatment of corona patients. The steroid drug dexamethasone would be an alternative to methylprednisolone.

This is the reason that patients often start it only after being tested for infection like TB. The patient is very likely to catch such infection during the use of the drug. If we talk about its side effects then it includes depression and increased blood pressure.
