Samples of these ASHA workers posted in Bijauli village have been sent to Pune lab for genome sequencing.

In this regard, CMO Dr. Akhilesh Mohan told that 200 samples have been sent for genome sequencing through the Microbiology Lab of the Medical College. On the other hand, Dr. Amit Garg, a microbiologist from the Medical College, told that the delta variant is already in the country. Due to this there was so much destruction in the second wave.

Regarding Delta Plus, doctors say that in the second wave, the Delta variant of Corona caused havoc. Delta Plus is a modified version of the same Delta variant, which is many times more lethal than Delta. Monoclonal antibodies do not work on this variant.
