Autumn is here but the heat wave hasn’t left us yet, that means it is all the more important to ensure a good intake of fluids and keep ourselves hydrated. Drinking a good amount of water surely helps but according to nutrition and health experts, there are many other ways to maintain a healthy and hydrated body.
We have been listening to this since childhood that our body is made up of 70% water, but even after knowing the facts, do we actually put in effort? Water is essential for our body functions, cells organs, and tissues. It also helps regulate the body temperature and helps us get rid of toxins.
We tend to lose water in the form of sweat, breathing and by other means. Hence, it is important to know all the important resources of water as drinking water alone may not suffice.
Lack of fluids in the body can cause a lot of problems making us parched and dehydrated, feeling fatigued, decreased concentration, and dark-colored urine.
So here we are with a bunch of tips to make sure you increase your fluid intake:
1. Drink coconut water everyday
2. Cut down on your caffeine and alcohol intake
3. Have buttermilk, its great for bones too
4. Have fruits/ vegetables which are high in water content like watermelon, cucumber, tomatoes, etc
6. Always carry a water bottle wherever you go
7. Put water alert to ensure you are drinking on regular intervals
