New Delhi: Over 1, 994 fresh covid-19 cases and four deaths were reported from different parts of the country in the past 24 hours, said the Union Health Ministry on Sunday. Now, the number of deaths has shot up to 5, 28, 961. According to reports, the active caseload of the country stands at 23, 432. More than 2, 601 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours. With this, the country’s recovery rate stands at 98.76%. India’s positivity rate is 1.24%, and the weekly positivity rate is 0.99%.
Meanwhile, 1, 61, 290 tests have been conducted across the country. As far as vaccination coverage goes, the country has so far inoculated 219.55 crore people. More than 4.12 crore adolescents have been given the first dose of the anti-corona shots since the beginning of the vaccination drive for this age group began.
