New Delhi: The clash between India and Pakistan in any sport is nothing short of a gift for sports lovers. And when it comes to cricket, what to say. Once again, these rival teams are all set to confront each other in the cricket arena. And that too will be in the semi-finals of the ICC Under19 Cricket World Cup, not in any common tournament.

While the Indian team led by Priyam Garg beat strong Australia by 74 runs to make it to the semi-finals of the Under19 World Cup, Pakistan beat Afghanistan by six wickets to enter the last four under the captaincy of Rohel Nazir. India and Pakistan will be forced into the fray against each other in the first semi-final of the Under19 World Cup. The clash between the two teams will take place on Tuesday, February 4, at Pochefstrum.

The match will be played at 1:30 PM. In the second semi-final, Bangladesh and New Zealand teams will clash on Thursday, February 6 to get the final ticket. The match will also be played at Pochefstrum from 1:30 pm. India and Pakistan have had a total of 23 matches in Under19 cricket so far, out of which India have won 14. Pakistan has won 8 matches and one match is tied. For India in the current World Cup, opener, Illustrious Jaiswal is in superb form.

He is third in the list of highest-scoring batsmen in the ICC Under 19 World Cup 2020. Yashvi has scored 207 runs in 4 matches at an average of 103.50. In the bowlers, Ravi Bishnoi is fourth with 11 wickets in four matches. Talking about the World Cup, India has clashed 9 times against Pakistan, winning 4 of them, while 5 have suffered a defeat. However, team India has won over Pakistan in the last three World Cup matches.

Pakistan won the World Cup for the last time from India on January 23, 2010. The Indian team beat Sri Lanka by 90 runs in league matches, Japan 10 wickets for 44 runs in New Zealand. Australia was dusted off by 74 runs in the quarter-finals. India A were 233 for 9 in the quarter-finals. In reply, the Indian bowlers bundled out Australia for 159 runs. Pakistan’s team beat Scotland by 7 wickets, Zimbabwe by 38 runs in league matches, while the match against Bangladesh remained inconclusive. Pakistan beat Afghanistan by 6 wickets in the quarter-finals. Afghanistan was bundled out for 189. In reply, Pakistan had no difficulty in achieving the target in 41.1 overs.
