The applicant said he received a call from an unknown number on the evening of December 4, according to police. The caller claimed to be one Kaala from Neeraj Bawana’s gang, according to the FIR. “The caller threatened to shoot him in the forehead and kill his father if one of his colleagues in Delhi didn’t get 3 crore rupees,” the reporter told the FIR.
Neeraj Bawana is now incarcerated in a Delhi jail on charges of murder, robbery, and extortion in Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh. “The accused threatened to kill them if the money was not paid since committing a murder and going to jail was their usual business,” the officer stated, citing the complainant’s testimony from the FIR.
The complainant had also provided a tape of the suspected extortion call, according to police. “An FIR has been lodged, and we have launched an inquiry,” said Gurgaon police spokesperson Subhash Boken. The defendants have not yet been recognised.” According to police, a FIR was filed at Sushant Lok police station under IPC sections 387 (placing a person in fear of death or serious bodily harm in order to commit extortion) and 506 (criminal conspiracy).
