New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid tribute to the martyred soldiers in the encounter at Handwara in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the nation will never forget the bravery and sacrifice of soldiers.
In a tweet from his personal account, PM Modi said, “Tributes to our courageous soldiers and security personnel martyred in Handwara. Their valour and sacrifice will never be forgotten. They served the nation with utmost dedication and worked tirelessly to protect our citizens. Condolences to their families and friends.. “
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has mourned the martyrdom of the soldiers. He said that the soldiers set an example of courage in fighting against terrorists and their bravery and struggle will always be remembered.
In his tweet, Singh said, “The loss of our soldiers and security personnel in Handwara(J&K) is deeply disturbing and painful. They showed exemplary courage in their fight against the terrorists and made supreme sacrifice while serving the country. We will never forget their bravery and sacrifice.. ” He paid tribute to the martyred soldiers and expressed condolences to their families.
