Maharashtra government gave permission to sell liquor in all zones

Mumbai: The Uddhav Thackeray government has allowed the sale of liquor in the Red Zone. However, liquor shops have not been allowed to open in some areas in Mumbai and Pune. State Principal Secretary Bhushan Gagrani has said that this decision has been taken following the revised guidelines issued by the central government.

Currently only essential selling shops open in the Red Zone. But, now shops selling other goods are also allowed. It also includes liquor shops. But when it comes to shops selling essential goods, there are certain rules to be followed. Only five shops can run in one lane.

Although the government has decided to start liquor shops, no decision has yet been taken regarding spas, salons and parlors.
