Kolkata: Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav met with Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on Monday to talk about a possible alliance, in the event of this alliance, RJD, a Congress ally in Bihar, will become its adversary in Bengal. Tejashwi spoke to Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee at his Kolkata-based office, ‘Nabana’, during which seat sharing was discussed between the two leaders. After the meeting, Leader of Opposition of Bihar Tejashwi said, ‘Our alliance with the Left and the Congress is only in Bihar. Here, it is our duty to strengthen Mamta Didi’s hands and compete with BJP.
31-year-old Tejashwi said that there is a large number of Hindi-speaking voters in Bengal and my father Lalu Yadav has decided that his party will fully support Mamata Banerjee. Praising Mamta, he said, ‘We have always respected Mamata didi, we have a good relationship. We are standing with Mamata ji against those communal forces, who want to break the country. BJP wants to come to power here but it is not going to happen.
