Islamabad: Tablighi Jamaat is facing criticism in India because of its Delhi program. Not only in the country but also in the neighbouring country of Pakistan, the Jamaat is being heavily criticized. Jamaat also did its annual programme in Pakistan last month. According to the report of ‘Dawn’, the Jamaat organized its annual programme there despite heavy opposition from the government of Punjab province. Punjab Special Branch told that 70 to 80 thousand people attended the programme held on 10 March.
The management of Tablighi Jamaat claimed that more than two and a half million people had reached their annual programme, including about 3000 people from 40 countries. Those people have not been able to go to their country from Pakistan yet because the neighbouring country has banned all international flights due to Corona virus.
The organization has been severely criticized in India and Malaysia for finding more than a thousand members of the Tablighi Jamaat being corona positive. In the total cases of corona coming out in India, 30 percent of the cases are from the Tablighi Jamaat. Talking about Pakistan, there have been confirmed out of 4196 people there. 60 patients have died there.
