New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi has targeted the Modi government over the violence that has been spreading in the country’s capital for the last three days.
During a press conference on Wednesday, Sonia Gandhi directly blamed Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the violence in Delhi and asked her to resign immediately. During this, Sonia Gandhi asked the Modi government five questions on the Delhi violence and also gave instructions.
Sonia Gandhi said that 20 people lost their lives due to the central government and Delhi Police not taking timely action. A policeman was also killed. The Congress Working Committee expresses deepest condolences to the families of all the victims.
She said that given the entire situation, the Congress Committee believes that the Union Government, especially the Home Minister, is responsible for the current situation in Delhi. He should resign, taking responsibility. Sonia said- Delhi government also failed to maintain peace. Due to the failure of both governments, Delhi became a victim of this tragedy.
