Railways to restart passenger train operations from May 12

New Delhi: Indian Railways is preparing a plan to gradually resume passenger train operations from 12 May 2020 amid Corona epidemic. Sharing information about this from the media, the Indian Railways has said that initially 15 pairs of trains (30 return journey) will be run.

These trains will run as special trains from New Delhi station connecting Dibrugarh, Agartala, Howrah, Patna, Bilaspur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Secunderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Madgaon, Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad and Jammu Tawi.

Booking for reservation in these trains will begin on May 11 at 4 pm and will be available only on the IRCTC website. The Railway Ministry has given information about this.

Railways have shared many special rules in this regard. According to the Railway Ministry, it will be mandatory for passengers to cover face and undergo screening at the time of departure and only passengers will be allowed to board the train. Other details including the train schedule will be released at different times.
