New Delhi: The Punjab government has again announced a lockdown to prevent spreading corona virus. The government has just announced a complete lockdown on weekends and any holiday in which no one will be allowed to leave the house except for essential services. This means there will be a complete lockdown in Punjab on Saturday and Sunday.
Apart from this, the borders of Punjab State will also be sealed. Inter-state bus service has also been discontinued in the capital of Punjab and the union territory of Chandigarh. Flight, passengers coming by train will now have to stay quarantined in the house for 14 days. It is believed that in the past, a large number of cases of Corona positive have come up in the travel history.
Regarding the increasing cases of corona in Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh believes that the number of cases which are continuously increasing in Delhi may also have an impact in Punjab. Because, on an average, 500 to 800 vehicles are arriving in Punjab from the national capital every day.
To avoid the Corona epidemic in Punjab, the Chief Minister has issued orders to strictly observe the lockdown on weekends and public holidays and to prevent the exit of people without movement passes. Along with this, during the holidays and weekends in Punjab, all citizens will have to move by downloading the e-pass from the Punjab government’s COVA app. According to the information, during this time only those connected with medical stores and essential services will be allowed to exit.
New guidelines
- Essential goods shops will be open till 7 in the evening.
- Liquor shops will be open till eight o’clock at night.
- On Sunday, all shops will be completely closed except shops connected with essential goods or services.
- E-pass will be issued for marriage or party too, only 50 people will be able to participate in it.
- It will be mandatory to take e-pass for inter-state transport. It will be issued only to those involved with essential services.
