Kolkata: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday announced a free corona vaccine from the central government to all the people of the country from June 21. Now the expenses of the state government will also be borne by the center. Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that what she had said in February itself, Prime Minister Modi took a long time of four months to accept it. He also accused PM Modi of failing to deal with the Corona crisis.

The Chief Minister tweeted and said- “I said many times in February 2021. After that I wrote a letter to Prime Minister Modi and made a demand on my behalf to give free vaccine to everyone. After a lot of pressure, he got 4 months to accept it. It took time. They finally listened to us and are going to implement what we were saying.”

In another tweet, Mamta Banerjee said- “The well-being of the people should have been given priority since the beginning of this pandemic but unfortunately, many lives have already been lost due to this delay on the part of PM. Hope you That this time there will be a better vaccination campaign and the focus will be on the people and not on the publicity.”
