Peacock is full of colors symbolising India as India is a diverse nation, full of different cultures and colors. Tiger as its national animal, lotus as its national flower and Peacock as National Bird. Our nation is blessed with many beautiful creatures but now have you ever wondered why Peacock is national bird.

Peacocks can be found in the whole of Indian subcontinent extending from Jammu and Kashmir, east Mizoram, south Assam, Indian peninsula and other warm places, as National bird can’t be restricted in one location.

Peacock is related to Hindu mythology also, he is on the vehicle of Lord Kartikey, Goddess Saraswati and Goddess Mahamayuri. Lord Krishna always have Peacock feather on his head.
