Dehradoon: Banners prohibiting entry of non-Hindus outside a temple in the Ghanta Ghar area of Dehradun in Uttarakhand. It has been written that it is a sacred place of Hindus, but entry of non-Hindus is prohibited here. According to media reports, such posters have also been placed in many other temples in Uttarakhand.
These banners were put up in about fifty temples in Doiwala, Selakui, Premnagar and other areas of Dehradun. In which information has been written outside the temples by putting a flex board. This temple is a sacred place of Hindu society, non-Hindus are not allowed to enter it.
According to the Kotwali police, a banner was placed outside the temple at the Ghanta Ghar house in Dehradun, stating that ‘entry of non-Hindus is forbidden here’. The temple authorities refused to be aware of it. The banner has been removed, as well as a case under Section 153A was registered against the person whose mobile number was on the banner.
According to the media report, the person whose mobile number is in the banner is being named Jeetu Randhawa. Jeetu Randhawa is the state general secretary of the Hindu Yuva Vahini.
The Congress has said in this case that the BJP and the RSS are conspiring to religious polarisation. Congress state vice president Suryakant Dhasmana said that Uttarakhand respects the religious sentiments of all. Normally neither a Muslim goes to a temple nor does a Hindu go to a mosque. Even then it is wrong to put a banner like this. He said that BJP is doing this only for religious polarization.
