New Delhi: After the arrival of 46,951 new cases of covid-19 in India in a day, the number of people infected so far in the country has increased to 1,16,46,081. This is the highest number of cases reported this year in the country.
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry at eight in the morning, the highest number of people died from the virus in a single day after 72 days in the country and the death toll has risen to 1,59,967. The number of under-served patients has also increased after an increase in cases for the 12th consecutive day in the country. At present, 3,34,646 people are undergoing treatment for corona virus, which is 2.87 percent of the total cases.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 23,44,45,774 samples in the country have been tested for covid-19 as on 21 March. Of these, 8,80,655 samples were tested on Sunday.
