New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind has dismissed the mercy plea of convict Vinay Sharma on Saturday morning in the Nirbhaya case. Let us say that the mercy petition was sent on 29th January. In addition, they will no longer be hanged on February one, Saturday morning after a Delhi court adjourned the death warrant of four convicts in the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case on Friday till further orders.

Mukesh Kumar Singh, Pawan Kumar Gupta, Vinay Kumar Mishra and Akshay Kumar were to be hanged at 6 am on February one. For the second time, the death warrant has been taken up. Nirbhaya’s mother says my fight to execute convicts will continue

The Tihar Jail administration had challenged their application saying that it is not considered and they can be hanged separately. But, the plea of Tihar jail was not accepted in the court. The lawyer of the culprits argued that the rules say that when one application is pending, the other cannot be hanged. The judge in his order said that if one convict appeals or applies, the punishment of other convicts, in that case, will be prohibited. The court said a copy of the order should be given to the lawyers and jail officials of the culprits present here. “The jail superintendent is directed to file the compliance report by tomorrow,” the order said.

Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi said she will continue the fight till the perpetrators of her daughter’s gang rape and murder are hanged. The Delhi court deferred the implementation of the death warrant of the culprits on Friday, immediately after which he reacted. He told reporters that his hopes have been shattered but he will continue the battle.
