New Delhi: Naxalites today released a picture of a kidnapped CRPF jawan after an encounter in Chhattisgarh. By issuing a press note yesterday, Naxalite leader Vikalp admitted that a jawan is in his possession as a prisoner. Naxalites have released a photo of the jawan in the media. The picture is of a wooded area, where the jawan is seen sitting in a uniform in a temporary hut.
On the other hand, the family of the abducted CRPF commandos Rakeshwar Singh Manhas is constantly demanding the government to free them from the occupation of the Naxalites. His wife and five-year-old daughter are eagerly looking forward to Rakeshwar Singh’s return home. Their demand is that the government should rescue them from the clutches of the naxalites at the earliest.
Earlier, the Naxalites had written a two-page letter on Tuesday, asking that the government first declare the names of the arbitrators. He will then leave CRPF commando Rakeshwar Singh. It has been said in the letter that they are not opposed to negotiation, but it is the government’s job to create an atmosphere for this. The jawan will not be released until the government appoints a mediator. Till then he will be safe with us.
In their letter, the Naxalites have also accepted the receipt of 14 looted weapons and more than 2 thousand cartridges. Also, it is believed that four Naxalites were killed in that attack. Naxalites had said this by releasing a press release.
