New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) cum Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabole said that Muslims are an integral part of India and during the lockdown the Sangh volunteers helped them without any discrimination which has been appreciated by various leaders of the Muslim community.
In an online media interaction with foreign media, Hosbole dismissed the RSS’s notion of being anti-Muslim as baseless and far from reality. He said that the Sangh had contact with Muslim leaders and we assisted people in different areas across India including Shaheen Bagh in New Delhi during the lockdown implemented in view of Kovid-19.
Significantly, Shaheen Bagh has been the center of protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act. Hosbole reiterated Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat’s comment in which he made indirect reference to the Tabligi Jamaat, saying that the entire community could not be held responsible for the mistake of some people. Hosbole claimed, ‘Many Muslim leaders wrote a letter to Bhagwat ji thanking him for this attitude.’
It is noteworthy that allegations are being made in the Gulf region and some countries that Muslim community people are in trouble after many of those who participated in the Tabligi Jamaat program in New Delhi were found infected with the corona virus.
