Modi government pushes country into the quagmire of vaccine shortage: Priyanka

New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said on Wednesday that it is a sad situation that despite being the world’s largest vaccine-producing country, India has become a tool for the publicity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi rather than a tool to save the lives of common people.

Priyanka Vadra said that the government has made vaccines its weapon of publicity and because of this, India, the world’s largest vaccine producer, has become dependent on vaccine donations from other countries and has joined the line of the world’s weak countries in terms of vaccination. .

Mrs Vadra said that last year on 15 August, Modi told the Red Fort that his government had prepared the entire plan of vaccination. Given the country’s vaccine production capacity, it was easy to believe that the government would do this work easily and optimally, but vaccination dropped by 83 percent in one month after Modi’s announcement of Tika Utsav.

She said that the government has pushed the country into a quagmire of vaccine shortages. There is now a photo of Shri Modi on the vaccine, the rest of the responsibility has been placed on the states, while the state governments are sending information about the lack of vaccine to the central government.
