
Mehbooba Mufti, the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the head of the People’s Democratic Party, said on Wednesday that she had been placed under house arrest again because she intended to visit the Pulwama area of Jammu and Kashmir.

On Tuesday, the former chief minister said that Army soldiers beat a family in Pulwama’s Tral locality and wounded a female member. Mufti stated that she would visit with the family on Wednesday.
“Instead than the sanitised and supervised picnic excursions offered by the government of India, visiting dignitaries should be shown this genuine picture of Kashmir “In a tweet, Mufti remarked. A photo of a security forces vehicle reportedly blocking the main entrance of her house on Gupkar road was also tweeted by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader.

“Army from Yagwani camp in Tral destroyed homes & savagely beat a family last night,” Mufti tweeted on Tuesday. The daughter was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. This isn’t the first time the army has beaten up residents from this community in this area.”
