Mumbai: A lock-down has been announced from tonight in Parbhani and Akola districts of the state in view of new cases of rising corona in Maharashtra. The lockdown will remain in Parbhani district from 12 pm to 6 am Monday, in the same order the lockdown has been announced in Akola district from 8 pm to 6 am Monday. Apart from this, there is public curfew in Jalgaon City on Friday night till 8 am on Monday morning. Only essential services are allowed during lockdown. Significantly, so far, 9114 corona patients have been found in Parbhani. On Thursday, 57 patients were found in one day yesterday, the active case is 1020 so far whereas a total of 303 deaths have been done.
Earlier, the lockdown was announced in Nagpur city on Thursday from 15 to 21 March. It was said in this announcement that essential services like vegetables, fruit shops, milk booths continued during lockdown. Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray had indicated that due to increasing number of new corona cases in the state, there may be a possibility of lockdown in many parts of the state.
