Dharmendra Pradhan emphasised the enormous potential for the two countries’ educational institutions to collaborate more effectively. The discussion was hosted by the Indian Embassy in New York and its five consulates in Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, and Atlanta. Presidents, chancellors, and officials from 20 American colleges attended the roundtable, including the University of Colorado, New York University, Rice University, and the University of Illinois, among others.

The elimination of barriers, notably bureaucratic impediments, from the sphere of education would be mutually advantageous for both India and the United States on all fronts, including economic, according to all American participants.
Most American colleges expressed an interest in collaborating with India on a variety of areas, including cybersecurity, healthcare, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, data sciences, agriculture, climate change, and sustainability.
They stated that they would seek to enhance research connections and links with current partners, as well as explore new partnerships with Indian educational institutions. India’s Ambassador to the United States, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, mentioned in his speech that the Office of International Affairs has been established in more than 150 institutions across India.

India’s higher education establishments have been given new standards to help them advance in foreign research. Internships will be included into general education under new regulations. According to him, the government plans to establish a national research foundation to boost the country’s research ecosystem.
