Before the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, the Yogi government is kind to lakhs of employees of the state. The government has given orders to give dearness allowance (DA) in public undertakings and corporations. After this order, the employees of public undertakings and corporations will get dearness allowance at an increased rate of 28 percent. According to the order, officers and employees who have received the revised pay matrix from January 1, 2016, will be given dearness allowance of 28 percent of the basic pay from July 1, 2021. At the same time, for the period from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, the rate of dearness allowance will be 17 percent of the basic pay.

According to the mandate, officers and employees who have received the revised pay scale from January 1, 2006, who have not selected the revised pay matrix with effect from January 1, 2016 as per the decision taken on the recommendations of the first report of the Pay Committee or whose pay scale from January 1, 2016. Not revised, they will get DA of 189 percent of basic pay from July 1, 2021. For the period from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, the rate of DA for them will be 164 per cent of the basic pay.
At the same time, for such officers and employees, according to the mandate issued on September 11, 2009, it has been decided to convert DA equal to 50 percent of the basic pay as dearness pay, the rate of DA for them will be from July 1, 2021. And the dearness will be 356 percent of the salary. For such employees, for the period from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, the rate of DA will be 312 percent of the sum of salary and dearness pay.

According to the mandate on September 11, 2009, for those whose basic salary equal to 50 per cent of the salary has not been converted into dearness pay, from July 1, 2021, it will be 406 per cent of the basic pay. For such employees, the total DA for the period from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 will be 362 per cent. At the increased rate, DA will be available to the employees of only those public enterprises, which have internal capacity to bear the additional expenditure. At the same time, the public enterprises which have been decided to close will not get its benefit.
