Farmers are not going to bow down to the government: Rakesh Tikait

New Delhi: Today, seven months have been completed since the farmers’ agitation, which started on November 26 last year, against the three new agricultural laws of the Centre. On this occasion, once again the farmers’ organizations have mobilized against the government. A large number of farmers have reached the Delhi-UP Ghazipur border with their tractors. Regarding today’s protest of the farmers, Rakesh Tikait has made it clear that the farmers are not going to bow down to the government.

He said that farmers will continue to do farmers’ agitation for 43 months. When Tikait was asked that only farmers from Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh are participating in the movement, he said, “The farmers of the entire country are against the agricultural laws of the central government. The government wants to give farmers’ lands to big companies. Farmers will not allow this plan of the government to succeed.

He said that the farmers of Bihar are also troubled by the policies of the government. Mandis were abolished in Bihar. Farmers are not getting proper price for the crop. Farmers having 10-10 acres of land are forced to work. The government is from the people, the farmer will be permanent, the government will not be permanent. Right now they are raising the slogan of law return, do you want to raise the slogan of return of power?

Earlier, Rakesh Tikait had said, ‘We will oppose the Yogi government in the UP assembly elections. As soon as they start political rallies, we will also start doing panchayats against them. Tikait categorically said, ‘I will not contest any election but will oppose BJP on the issue of farmers.
