New Delhi: On the media reports of filing an FIR against environmental activist Greta Thunbergh, the Delhi Police has now clarified that Greta is not named in this FIR.
Delhi Police has filed an FIR against the makers of the contentious toolkit shared by climate activist Greta Thunberg. However, the police clarified the FIR does not name anybody as an accused, including Greta Thunberg. Addressing the press, Delhi Police said it would further investigate the case. Earlier, Thunberg tweeted a toolkit “for those who want to help” the farmers. However, she deleted it immediately.
In a press conference held on Thursday evening, Delhi Police’s Special CP Crime Praveer Ranjan said that during the Kisan agitation, the police is also monitoring social media and the police has come to know that more than 300 such Twitter handles were being tweeted against the Indian government.
It is noteworthy that after registering an FIR, Greta again said that she is standing with the farmers.
