RPN Singh’s withdrawal from the party would be a major setback in the run-up to the Assembly elections later this year. RPN Singh is also scheduled to run in his hometown of Padrauna, where he will face Swami Prasad Maurya of the Samajwadi Party, who just defected from the BJP.
