The decisions were made at a State Disaster Management Authority meeting on Monday, which was headed by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

According to an official announcement, higher education institutions such as colleges, universities, and ITIs were also allowed to reopen.

On January 3, the Jharkhand government reinstated Covid-related restrictions, closing all educational institutions and tourism attractions and limiting office attendance to 50%.

The administration also allowed gyms and swimming pools to reopen, as well as spectator-free sporting activities at stadiums.

The government lifted the limit on meetings, allowing up to 200 persons to attend.

According to the announcement, permission was also granted for an offline competitive examination.

On Monday, Jharkhand saw a decrease in Covid-19 cases, with 733 persons testing positive, 305 fewer than the previous day.
