Cold remained Uncontrollable in Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana

On Friday, numerous portions of Delhi, Punjab and Haryana saw bitterly cold weather. As per the reports of the meteorological authority, Haryana’s Hisar was hit by extreme cold, and recorded a minimum temperature of 4.3°C.

Sirsa, too, had a chilly night, with a low of 5.4°C, while Gurugram’s minimum temperature was 7.5°C. Ambala, on the other hand, had a temperature of 10.3°C, which was above normal.

Bathinda, in Punjab, was hit hard by the cold, with a low of 4.2°C, while Amritsar saw a low of 7.8°C. Gurdaspur, like the rest of the country, had a cold night, with a low of 5.2°C.

Jalandhar’s low temperature was 8.6°C, whereas Moga’s was 5.9°C. The minimum temperature in Ludhiana was 8.8°C. Chandigarh, the two states’ shared capital, experienced a low of 11°C.

On the other hand, the national capital’s residents awoke to a bitter cold this morning after the winter temperature dropped to 2 degrees Celsius. On January 1, the weather office recorded 1.1 degrees Celsius, the coldest day of the season.

The temperature today was 2 degrees Celsius, according to the Safdarjung Observatory in south Delhi. A weather station on the outskirts of the city, Palam, measured 4.9 degrees Celsius. Air quality of the city observed  “extremely poor” due to high fog that affects the moving vehicles on the road.
