Chandigarh: On Tuesday, black flags were shown to Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Haryana. Some farmers protesting against the agricultural laws had allegedly tried to stop Khattar’s convoy and showed black flags, following which the Haryana police registered a case against 13 farmers on various charges including attempt to murder and spreading riot. Khattar had reached an event in Ambala, where a group of farmers tried to stop his car.
Khattar had reached Ambala on Tuesday to campaign for the joint mayoral candidates of BJP and JJP and councilors. During this time, the Chief Minister was strongly opposed by the farmers of Ambala against the agricultural laws. The police administration also had to struggle heavily. Meanwhile, there was a scuffle between the farmers and the police.
Sharing this information, DSP Madan Lal said that on Tuesday, some farmers tried to stop their convoy when the Chief Minister was going to Shagun Palace to attend an event here. In this case, the police have registered a case against 13 farmers under Section 307 and other sections and have started investigation.
After the incident, the Haryana government has transferred SP Rajesh Kalia of Ambala. Now Hamid Akhtar will be the new SP of Ambala. Rajesh Kalia has been posted as SP Security CID in Chandigarh.
