On Thursday, a minibus travelling from Thathri to Doda crashed into a canyon, killing eight passengers and injuring numerous more. According to reports, a rescue operation is underway at the accident scene.

The Prime Minister also offered ex-gratia payments of Rs 2 lakh to the relatives of those who died and Rs 50,000 to those injured. Union Minister Jitendra Singh expressed his sorrow at the event and stated that the local authorities would offer all necessary support.
