New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again emphasized that India will be able to turn this disaster and crisis in Corona into an opportunity. On the occasion of the launch of the commercial mining auction of 41 coal mines, PM Modi said that India is going to take a big step today to become self-sufficient in the energy sector.
Prime Minister Modi said, ‘India will definitely turn the Covid-19 disaster into an opportunity. It has taught India to be self-reliant. Made India less dependent on imports. A major step is being taken today to make India self-reliant in the energy sector.
PM Modi also said, ‘We have targeted to convert 100 million tonnes of coal into gas by 2030. I have been told that 4 projects have been identified for this and around 20 thousand crores will be invested in it.
PM Modi said that these new reforms will make coal production and the entire coal sector self-sufficient. The PM said, ‘I believe that the poorest areas and poorest people of this country will give us their blessings.’
The Prime Minister also mentioned that India is the fourth largest coal storage country in the world as well as being the second largest producer and does not export but is the second largest importer country in the world.
