A new series called Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond will feature actors Jimmy Shergill and Lara Dutta in leading roles. On Monday, Lara posted a sneak peek of the show on her Instagram account. The movie provided a behind-the-scenes presentation at a narrative that delved into lesser-known tact, hurdles, and facets of the Balakot mission that influenced the course of events.
The caption by Lara stated that February 26th, 2019 will live on in history forever. The day the Balakot airstrike successfully retaliated, making every Indian’s heart soar with pride. The narrative of “Rajnneeti: Balakot and Beyond,” honoring our heroes, will soon be available on @officialjiocinema #RanneetiOnJioCinema.
In a statement regarding the program, Jimmy Shergill said, “On February 14, five years ago, our courageous hearts at Pulwama imparted the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.” We will always remember the sacrifice made by our martyrs, but when we saw our nation fight back for the first time, we couldn’t help but smile! The airstrike on Balakot was a severe warning that resulted from the bravery and tenacity of our country’s armed forces.
India took a resolute stand on this date, which will always be remembered by the people of the country. My respect for the Jawans has only grown as a result of being a part of this series, as I experienced a pivotal moment in the history of our nation.
About the airstrikes in Balakot
In response to the Pulwama attack on February 14, the Indian Air Force (IAF) launched the Balakot strikes in Pakistan on this date five years ago.
Since the theme of the show is the same, Lara said in a statement, “Having served in the armed forces, I have firsthand experience with the courage, dedication, and love for country.”
Five years ago, those who died in Pulwama gave their lives, but the Balakot airstrike gave us a sense of pride in our country. This sneak peek is intended to honor all soldiers, in uniform or not, who have reshaped the narrative surrounding our country’s defense on the one-year mark of this historic defense operation.
