Entertainment Desk – The animated movie “Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama” from 1993 is set to hit theaters again on January 24. This time, the movie will be shown in a new 4K version with improved sound and will be available in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, as well as the original English.

The re-release is being handled by several big names in film distribution, including Geek Pictures India, Anil Thadani’s AA Films, and Excel Entertainment by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. V Vijayendra Prasad, known for his work on famous movies like “Baahubali” and “RRR,” has added his creative touch to this version.

The movie was supposed to come out last October but was delayed to make sure it could reach a wider audience. A new trailer for the movie will be out on January 10.

“Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama” was first shown in India at the International Film Festival of India in 1993 but wasn’t released in cinemas at that time. It gained popularity when it was aired on TV in the early 2000s. This movie tells the story of Prince Rama, with voice contributions from notable actors like Arun Govil as Rama and Amrish Puri as Raavan.

There’s also a new live-action Ramayana movie in the works, which will be released in two parts in 2026 and 2027, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi.
