It is always said that whatever destiny has in store for you, no one and nothing can change it. In the life of Bunty Rathore, destiny helped him make a successful career path that even he wasn’t aware of. Bunty today is renowned for his hit dialogues in various films and has craved a unique identity in the Bollywood world.
Bunty who hails from Meerut got his big break in Mumbai when he joined the Hindi film industry. He is quite known for writing superhit dialogues in films like the Dhamaal series, Golmaal 3, Khiladi 786, and Yamla Pagla Deewana.

Dhondhu Just Chill, this popular one-liner was written for Sanjay Mishra’s role Dhondhu in the film All the Best which actually gave him worldwide recognition. But do you know the person who wrote this funny dialogue which is still remembered by many is none other than Bunty Rathore.

In a conversation, Bunty reveals how he decided to reach Mumbai aiming to become a choreographer as he was proficient in dancing skills. However, when Bunty reached the busiest city, he got to know he needs one and a half lakh rupees to become a choreographer, which he didn’t have then.

Some friends encouraged him to write something and among them was the writer of the movie Race 1. Bunty wrote few lines in Dosti Yari and everyone started appreciating the punches, which helped him gain a foothold in the movie world and make some money. Eventually, his one-liners became a scene, scenes became an episode and the episodes started giving him an entry in the journey of Hindi cinema.

His prompt response when asked how he could deliver such comic timing, he thanked his sense of humor which was present since his childhood. Then reading a lot of Hindi literature helped him to write well and enjoy writing in the comedy genre. As he has written for most comedy films in his career, Bunty’s image has become a comedy writer. Apart from comedy, Bunty has also explored thriller movies with one film of director Kunal Kohli and he is also writing for Kapil Sharma’s web series and a TV show.

Among his films, Bunty’s favorite is his first film Dhamaal which was released on 7 September 2007. And the dialogue that is very close to his heart is Just Chill Dhondhu from the film All the Best in 2010, as he also believes in following this philosophy. He also takes not much tension in life, doesn’t shout or gets angry. Even while writing the line Just Chill, it was his idea of adding Dhondhu also to the line and it went on to become a huge hit among the masses. On a funnier note, now Bunty doesn’t miss much of his dancing profession as he fulfills his passion by dancing all the time at the direction of his wife.
