After singer Yo-Yo Honey Singh failed to appear in court in connection with the domestic abuse case filed against him by his wife Shalini Talwar, a local court in Delhi declared that “no one is above the law.” The court also ordered Yo-Yo Honey Singh to appear in court on the next hearing date on September 3. Honey Singh has not appeared, you have not presented his income affidavit, and you are not prepared with the arguments,” the judge informed the singer’s attorney.
Yo-Yo Honey Singh’s medical report and information of his income tax filings have also requested by the court. Singh’s lawyer stated that they would file his medical records and tax returns as soon as possible, despite Singh’s request for a personal appearance exemption, claiming that the singer is ill. The lawyer later promised the court that he would present on the following hearing date. Yo-Yo Honey Singh’s wife, Shalini Talwar, alleged that he abused her physically, verbally, mentally, and emotionally earlier this month. Shalini Talwar, who appeared in court on Saturday, also alleged that Singh had beaten her several times in recent years. She has lived in constant terror because he and his family have threatened her with bodily violence.

On Saturday, Ishan Mukherjee, who appeared in court on Yo-Yo Honey Singh’s behalf, informed the court that she had already brought all of her belongings, including jewellery, with her and could reside at her in-laws’ house in Noida in 15 days. “We will make every effort to accommodate her.” We’ll construct a barrier. It may be delivered to her in 15 days, Mukherjee said, adding that Singh owns two houses valued at about Rs. 4 crores, one of which belongs to Shalini Talwar and is worth Rs. 1 crore”. Yo-Yo Honey Singh, for one, has called Talwar’s claims false and spiteful and severely disgusting.
“I categorically deny all of the claims, but I will refrain from commenting more because the case is still pending in the Court of Law. I have complete trust in our country’s legal system, and I am certain that the truth will be revealed shortly”, he stated
