Domestic Abuse Complaint Filed Against Honey Singh

Shalini Talwar, the wife of singer-composer Yo Yo Honey Singh, has filed mental harassment, financial fraud, sexual violence and domestic abuse complaints against the 38-year-old artist at the Tis Hazari court in Delhi today.

She has filed a complaint under the ‘Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act’ at Delhi’s Tis Hazari court. Ms. Tania Singh, the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Tiz Hazari Court heard the case today.

The singer has been served with a notice from the court, and he has until August 28 to respond. Talwar claims that she has been subjected to multiple episodes of verbal, physical, and mental abuse at the hands of her husband in her application.

Honey Singh, she claims, used to get paid in cash, but she was kept in the dark about it. According to Talwar, Honey Singh would make Rs 4 crore a month from songs, concerts, and royalties, and it was at this period that he became hooked to drink, narcotics, and anabolic steroids. He became arrogant and aggressive, and he had sex with several women.

On behalf of Honey Singh’s wife, Shalini Talwar, lawyers Sandeep Kapur, Apoorva Pandey, and GG Kashyap of Karanjawala & Co. appeared. Honey Singh has been given till August 28 to respond to the court’s order. It also issued interim orders in Shalini Talwar’s favour, prohibiting Honey Singh from selling his jointly held home, among other things.

Honey Singh first revealed his wife to the public in 2014 on an episode of the reality programme India’s Rawstar. Yo-Yo Honey Singh has yet to issue a comment in response to the claims.
