During to coronavirus pandemic all over the world, many countries are going through different phases of lockdown. This has impacted the education system drastically. During this period, every year many universities organize their graduation ceremony, which has been stalled due to coronavirus lockdown.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently shared on her social media handles how his granddaughter celebrated graduating from a college in New York at their Jalsa home. Amitabh congratulated Navya Nanda by sharing her pics and wrote “”Grand daughter Navya .. the most important day in the life of a young student – Graduation Day .. ! She graduated from College in New York, but ceremony and presence got cancelled because of corona and lockdown.”

He also added on his social media post, “She could not go .. we too had all planned to be with her on this important occasion .. but she though wanted to wear that Graduation gown and cap .. so staff stitched her an impromptu gown and cap .. and she wore it and celebrated at home in Jalsa .. So proud of you Navya.. God bless .. such a positive and happy attitude. Love you.”

The pictures and video shared by Big B showed how Navya was wearing a home-made graduation cap and gown to celebrate her big day.

Navya’s mother Shweta also congratulated Navya on her social media. She shared how much she is proud of Navya’s academic achievements and narrated the way a chart paper cap and a gown hand stitched from scraps of black tenting was used to create the graduation gown and cap.
