Actor Noor Malabika Das was found dead in her Mumbai apartment, investigations suggesting suicide. The incident occurred in Lokhandwala. She was found on June 6th after neighbors alerted the police about a distressing odor coming from her apartment.
Noor Malabika Das, aged 37, was an actor from Assam, transitioned from her earlier career as an air hostess to the entertainment industry.
She had featured in several Hindi web series. She also appeared in “The Trial,” sharing the screen with actor Kajol.
The Oshiwara Police were notified by concerned neighbors. They found Das’s dead body, hanging from a ceiling fan. Although the circumstances pointed to suicide, the police have registered an accidental death report and continue to investigate.
No suicide note was found, but it was revealed that Das had been battling depression.
The All Indian Cine Workers Association has expressed deep concern over Das’s death and request Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis to ensure a thorough investigation.
